No police reports were available in the Kansas City suburb where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the first six games of this season due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that resulted in multiple people hurt. Rice was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
Statistically, Rice concluded the year with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs went with a losing record and missed the playoffs for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
